Welcome to THURLES & DISTRICT COURSING CLUB
Thurles Coursing Club was established in the year 1931.Early courses began running in O'Dwyer's field (Hollycross Road). Following this, our club moved to Touhy's field in the early 1980's paving the way for our current location where work began on the 13th of may 2012.
Our first meeting on the current field was in 2014, in which many highly acclaimed greyhounds have achieved their first wins!
For the 2022 season we will run a a 3 day event 18th-19th-20th November.2022
24 Derby Trail Stake (for dogs)
24 Oaks Trail Stake (for bitches this may be run as a 32)
16 All Age Cup (mixed)
Special Working Members Cup for an incredible 2500€ /24 or 2000€/16 or 1000€/8 dogs & bitches

We are very proud of the work we carry out in animal husbandry and the training of our hares. The upkeep of the field alongside the continuos voluntary dedication from our hard working members proves paramount to our club reputation.
